Field Trip: Cantor Art Center
For Modern Art Week, students learned about modern art and were able to create art works in the style of the artists that defined the period. The week ended with a trip to the Cantor Center of Visual Arts at Stanford University and students were able to enjoy the “Pop to Present” exhibit of modern and contemporary works as well as the Rodin Collection.
Field Trip: Aqua Adventure Waterpark
During Sports and Games week, students learned sports rules and played fun games. Some sports and games activities included: soccer, basketball, chess, chinese chess, checkers, and badminton. The week ended fittingly with a field trip to the Aqua Adventure Waterpark.
Field Trip: Silliman Activity and Family Aquatic Center
To escape the heat of another California summer, our little achievers took a trip to the Silliman Activity and Family Aquatic Center to cool off and end another great week.
Field Trip: Ardenwood Historic Farm
During History and Geology week, students gained knowledge of the world and of Chinese history. At the end of the week, the students visited the Ardenwood Historic Farm to see a piece of California history and learn about agricultural practices from the 1870s to the present.
Art Class with Mr. Huo
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Science Class with Mr. Graube
With the goal of teaching a special course to prepare students for a future in technology and innovation, Mr. Graube’s course focuses on topics in math, science, and robotics. Highlights of the course include: simple robots, artificial intelligence, logic, graphing, and programming.
